In the middle IFA 2024, Dell update it XPS 13 Portable laptop for the third time in a year, now included Intel recently announced the Core Ultra 200V processors. This latest update follows previous updates that included the first Core Ultra chip in April and the Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ variant in July.
Intel Core Ultra 200V processors bring significant improvements, including a 48 TOPS neural processing unit (NPU) for AI tasks and improved performance with efficient cores. Additionally, the integrated Xe2 GPU is 32% faster than the previous Core Ultra, high-performance rivals such as AMD’s HX 360 and Qualcomm’s X Elite chip.
Another notable feature of this update is that the XPS 13’s memory is not upgraded, as the Core Ultra 200V chip includes built-in RAM. The design, as a whole, also remains the same as before, so we will not have any significant innovations in terms of appearance.
However, the laptop introduces a new tandem OLED display, which packs two OLED panels for improved brightness. Dell also says the new XPS 13 can reach up to 26 hours of battery life while streaming video on its 1080p+ screen.
