Agents for PGA Tour players are experiencing certification changes to access

Becoming a PGA Tour player’s agent now will require time and money.

Tyler Dennis, the tour’s chief tournament officer, sent a notice to agents and managers late Monday afternoon announcing the Agent Certification Program that begins in 2025. You will be required to obtain a PGA Tour season certificate.

Agents must complete interactive video programs on integrity and education and accept a code of conduct. They must also pay a $1,500 annual application fee for each agency, plus $500 (plus tax) for each agent to have access to the clubhouse, locker room, practice area, media center and family meals. Agents seeking clubhouse access only pay $375 (plus tax).

Extended access includes family meals and parking at all tournaments.

The notice said agents who do not complete the certification program will be required to purchase weekly tickets for the tournaments they attend.
