Terence Crawford Responds Smartly Amid Garcia Criticism

Terence Crawford appeared on social media on Sunday to make a mysterious post, talking about people “cheating.”

Crawford didn’t say who the referee is, but it could be Ryan Garcia, who he called out last week for his “boring,” excessive, “mediocre,” and “stealing” money for his performance.

Ryan trashed Crawford up and down, saying he “gapped” his friend Turki Alalshikh when they faced Israel Madrimov on August 3 at the Riyadh Season event on DAZN PPV at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.

Crawford’s Unfair Expectations

Fans also criticized Crawford for his once-a-year schedule and lack of interest in fighting Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis or any of the other killers at 154. Plus, they don’t like Crawford’s involvement big payday against Canelo Alvarez at 168, a division in which he has never fought.

Crawford just wants the fight against Canelo given to him without leading it, and that doesn’t go down well with fans who don’t have that in their lives. His own the attitude is not normal in society because they are not given anything. It’s becoming clear to the fans how wasted Crawford has become.

If Crawford can at least make a run at 168, fighting three or four sharks, fans can put up with his demands for a Canelo golden parachute. But no, he wants a payday for his 16 years of service. It could be kind of like a gold watch that someone gets when they retire, but in this case, it could be mega millions.

“He steals a lot of money by taking out trivial fights without anyone noticing. You just robbed my friend Turki of money [Alalshikh]and he acts like a top dog,” said Ryan Garcia on YouTube channel Say Cheese, referring to Terence Crawford, who got a big payday in a boring match against Israel Madrimov last month on August 3rd.

The fans cheered the fight of Crawford vs. Madrimord because it was a game that didn’t do very well on the card. For the money Crawford made for the fight, you’d expect more from him.

“You couldn’t even hit this guy [backside]who wasn’t that good,” Ryan said of Crawford. “No, he [Madrimov] that was not good. None of this [fighters] that’s good. Terence Crawford hasn’t hit anyone except Errol Spence Jr, who was in a car accident. Besides him, who did Terence Crawford really beat? Name one guy he beat besides Errol Spence, who is well known. Who did you hit? Shawn Porter, who was washed up.”

Spence was a shell of himself last year when he fought Crawford. He didn’t look or sound right. Online, there was a before-after interview showing Spence talking before his car crashed and later when Crawford fought him.

Spence’s speech was slow and labored, and his movements were uneven. This is the version of Spence that Crawford is fighting. 34-year-old Shawn Porter was clearly at the end of his career when Crawford fought him.

The Impossible Canelo Fight

“Don’t do that,” Ryan said when told that Crawford wanted Canelo Alvarez. “Terence Crawford is a freaking bum. Someone should say it. You’re an overrated bum, bro. Stop stealing everyone’s money. You are not happy. You’re boring,” Ryan said.

It doesn’t look like Crawford will get the Canelo fight. So Ryan doesn’t really need to worry about what will happen if Crawford moves up to 168, and is outmatched by the bigger, stronger, and more skilled Canelo. The Mexican star knows better than to indulge in Crawford because he won’t get us any respect from the fans if we fight him.
