Ryan Garcia slams Terence Crawford: ‘He’s stiff, he’s boring, and he’s wasting everyone’s money’
Ryan Garcia says Terence Crawford is a “lonely” fighter who is “wasting everyone’s money” because he is “not fun.”
Fans Are Wrong About Crawford’s Style
Fans who haven’t watched Crawford’s fights during his 16-year career are making the mistake of thinking that the way he fought a stripped-down version of Errol Spence last year was the way he always fought.
Crawford rarely fights like that. The only reason he was letting his hands go that way was because Spence was like a zombie that had appeared in the crypt after being revived. Typically, Crawford boxes his opponents, changing positions unnecessarily and moving around the ring.
Garcia challenged Crawford, 36, to face him in the ring if he believed he was talking badly. That will not happen because Crawford wants a fight only with Canelo Alvarez and no one else. Whether he will change his mind when the money is ready to fight Ryan is unknown.
Crawford is not in the same league as the 26-year-old Ryan in terms of ratings and bringing in PPV buys. We already saw that clearly with Crawford’s fight against Israel Madrimov reportedly bringing in poor PPV numbers and not selling out the BMO arena in Los Angeles.
Garcia doesn’t lie. Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs) is not an exciting fighter and never has been unless you are a pure boxing fan.
Ryan Destroys Crawford’s Job
The superstar Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) feels that Crawford has not beaten anyone in his 16-year career with the exception of Errol Spence’s car accident.
“Terence Crawford has never hit anyone other than Errol Spence, who had a car accident. Name one guy he beat besides Spence who is famous! Crawford is not like that,” said Ryan Garcia on YouTube channel Say Cheese about Terence Crawford.
“You’re an overrated bum. You’re wasting everyone’s money, and you’re no fun; you are boring. Come see me in the ring if you think I’m talking [stuff],” Ryan said.
Crawford probably won’t take Ryan up on his offer unless His Majesty gives him the kind of money he expects to get to fight Canelo. Ryan will bring all of his PPV buys to fight Crawford, and the Nebraska native will need to stay on his own.
“He looked like he was on his way to being the new Mayweather. I knew what I was getting into. I didn’t know what my goal was,” said Ryan about his victory over Devin Haney last April. “I believed in myself, and no one is going to take that away from me.”
People made a mistake, thinking that Haney was going to beat Ryan, because he didn’t look good in his fight with Vasily Lomachenko.
“I am a good boxer. I only lost in Gervonta’s battle. So, see [Team Haney] they looked down on me.
“I know that I am the most searched fighter on google for the last three months,” said Ryan Garcia when asked if he is the Face of Boxing. “There are three of us. Me, Gervonta and Canelo that everyone will sing. I think it’s best for me and Gervonta.
“I feel like I’m doing a great job being the Face of Boxing. In this day of social media, you have to put in the work. You have to do an interview. You have to be there working for people,” said Ryan.
