XGIMI has refreshed its MoGo Pro lineup with the $500 MoGo 3 Pro, but the third iteration looks nothing like its predecessors. It’s incredibly cut down to the size of a soda can and as heavy as a milk carton. Instead of Android TV, it is now integrated with Google TV so it offers native access to live streaming programs.
MoGo 3 Pro means you don’t need a dedicated smart TV, set-top box, or smart TV dongle. It provides native access to any service offered by Google TV, so it’s great to use your favorite app out of the box. The package includes remote control buttons dedicated to YouTube games, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and a button to customize the service of your choice.
An 8.1 by 3.7-inch soda-sized body, 2.4-lbs weight, and a lanyard that protrudes from the body all scream portability.
The MoGo 3 Pro sports a 1080p resolution, covers 90% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and has a lighting feature that adapts to your music. An “extra powerbase stand” with a Type-C output charges the projector. XGIMI’s partnership with Google TV extends to both of its older offerings, the MoGo 2 Plus and Halo+.
Priced at $400, the Elfin Flip is another new release and one that is clearly going to be portable. It has an integrated stand that doubles as a handle. This one also comes with native support for apps and 1080p resolution.
There’s also a new short-throw projector offering, the Aura 2, in case you need high brightness and color accuracy. Where the Elfin Flip reaches 400 lumens, this one offers a total of 2300 lumens. Its DCI-P3 coverage is 99% and IMAX certified, too. The Aura 2 is a high-end device and will set you back $2,700.
XGIMI has renewed the Horizon Series released at CES 2024 with the Horizon S series: Horizon S Pro and Horizon S Max. The company boasts the new Dual Light Tech 2.0 in these projectors which combines both laser and LED for brighter, more accurate results. The S series starts at $1,300.
