Joshua Vs. Dubois: The Fight at a Budget-Friendly PPV Price for American Fans
The US PPV price has been released for Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois on September 21 at Wembley Stadium in London. This will be an affordable PPV for US fans.
It will be on sale $19.99 on a pay-per-view basis, which is a very good value compared to events sold today. Compare that to the Canelo Alvarez vs. Edgar Berlanga, which retails for $89.99 for their clash on September 14.
The official promo video for Joshua vs. Dubois, their Riyadh Season event, has been released for the September 21st event.
Honorable Turki Alalshikh has done an excellent job with visuals and theatrical quality. The music seems to be associated with British fans with Neil Diamond singing his song since 1969, ‘Sweet Caroline.’ UK fans still love the 55-year-old song from the 1960s.
Dubois: The Cammarelle Style Menace
Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) could face a lot of problems against the IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois (21-2, 20 KOs) who is the head of this fight.
The style that Dubois brings to this fight is not good for Joshua, who likes to fight a little, allowing him to land his powerful right shots.

Joshua’s Kryptonite: Quick Fight
AJ’s kryptonite is quick combat, and Dubois is all about that. He doesn’t allow his opponents to enjoy a break to catch their breath, and Joshua, more than anyone, needs regular rest breaks because of his physique.
Joshua struggles when he is forced to fight fast, work hard, and is not given time to load. At the 2012 London Olympics, Italy Roberto Cammarelle he defeated Joshua, throwing crowds, wearing him down, and forcing him to hold.
Joshua lost that fight in the truest sense but was given a dubious victory in this fight in London. Cammarelle seemed to win every round, but AJ, fighting at home, won.
That was the first of many controversial decisions for Joshua at the 2012 Olympics. Others were against Erislandy Savon of Cuba and Ivan Dychko of Kazakhstan.
If Dubois fights the way Cammarelle did, the judges will have no say in deciding the outcome of the contest because it will not see a 12 round. Dubois won’t let it go to the jury.
Concerns Under the Card: Lack of International Appeal
β Hamzah Sheeraz vs. Tyler Denny
– Anthony Cacace vs Josh Warrington
– Joshua Buatsi vs Willy Hutchinson
β Liam Smith vs Josh Kelly
– Mark Chamberlain vs Josh Padley
The undercard is geared towards British fighters, as there isn’t much to see from US fans, who prefer to watch world-class talent rather than low-level UK fighters who will never win world titles unless it’s of the paper variety.
No one on the undercard goes anywhere other than Sheeraz, but he’s wrong too. He may win the belt one day but he won’t hold it for long. We saw how he was injured against Austin Williams, and that performance spoke volumes for his future, or lack thereof.
If it were me, I’d take the big broom, sweep the four domestic-level scraps off the card, and add a few quality fights that would be of interest to the US market involving real world-class guys.
It would be a good move to add talented US fighters like Abdullah Mason, Ryan Garcia, Devin Haney, and Jaron Ennis to the card to improve the American fans. British domestic fights are attractive when the card is limited to one fight, but not when the undercard is full of those fights.
