US Open Honey Deuce Drink Brings in $10M in Sales

The US Open’s signature Honey Deuce cocktail is the tennis tournament’s pot of gold.

The cocktail concoction, which includes Gray Goose vodka and raspberry liqueur and lemonade, topped with watermelon balls that mimic miniature tennis balls, is expected to bring in an astounding $10 million in sales this year, according to CBS News.

Last year, thirsty fans at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens collected more than 450,000 Honey Deuces — even at a price tag of $23. The drink is named after the tennis score of 40-40.

Some Grand Slam tournaments offer their own signature drinks, such as Wimbledon’s Pimm’s Cup and the French Open’s champagne, although none rival the beneficial effects of the US Open drink.

However, it is important to note that this year, due to the rowdy behavior of the fans, French Open officials banned alcohol from the stands.

The total prize money for the 2024 US Open is $75 million, which is a 15% increase compared to last year. Individual winners will take home $3.6 million each, a 20% increase from 2023.
