The second round of the FedEx Cup Playoffs goes down this week at the 2024 BMW Championship in Colorado, and we’re pinning our long-term hopes on the pro who has already won twice on the PGA Tour this season. Here are our long picks, BMW championship odds, betting favorites and everything else you need to know.
BMW Championship odds: A long bet
For the final event before the tour tournament, we take Robert MacIntyre, who comes into the week with +5500 odds to win, as our long-term pick.
MacIntyre struggled earlier this year after moving to the US from Scotland. But it wasn’t long before he turned it around, capturing his first PGA Tour title at the RBC Canadian Open followed by an emotional win at the Genesis Scottish Open.
Last week at FedEx St. Jude Championship, MacIntyre finished T7, moving him to 12th place in the FedEx Cup standings.
If you bet $10 on MacIntyre to take his third win and do it, you’ll win $550. For insurance, consider placing an extra small bet on MacIntyre for top 10 and top 20 finishes.
Looking for a long bet on the BMW Championship? This week’s honorable mentions are Cameron Young (+5000) and Denny McCarthy (+6600).
BMW Championship odds: Favorites
A new finals event this week, but with the same top betting odds. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler leads with +333 odds. Xander Schauffele comes in second at +550, with Rory McIlroy in third at +1000.
