Teofimo Lopez Wants Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis Fight in December

Teofimo Lopez appeared on Friday at Canelo Alvarez’s weigh-in against Edgar Berlanga to use the timeline to call Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis and other notable fights with less chance of fighting.

Teofimo was really thirsty. Tank Davis will not fight Teofimo because they are too far apart in weight, and he has more famous fighters available. Teofimo has not fared well in his recent fights against Steve Claggett, Jamaine Ortiz, Sandor Martin and Pedro Campa.

WBO light welterweight champion Teofimo (21-1, 13 KOs) has volunteered to be the WBA ‘regular’ lightweight champion for Gervonta’s next opponent on December 14.

The way Teofimo called Tank sounded like he was begging him to be paid, and that’s not a good look for his job.

This is about Teofimo’s money because he regains almost 160 lbs of water in his 140 fights, and he is not 135. If Teofimo wants to test himself against a lightweight, he should prove himself by fighting William Zepeda or Andy. Cruz.

It is not clear why Teofimo waited so long to call him. He had to do it after Vasily Lomachenko announced that he will be taking the rest of the year off and won’t be available to fight Tank in November or December.

According to promoter Leonard Ellerbe, Tank is already considering two fighters for his next fight. One is rumored to be Jose ‘Rayo’ Valenzuela, who recently knocked out WBA light welterweight champion Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz on August 3rd.

“Hey, Tangi, I fought my brother. He doesn’t fight, I don’t fight. What’s going on? I don’t like people saying I’m boycotting someone. Why did I call him? Because I’m the one who took over that’s why,” said Teofimo Lopez to the media calling Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis.

Teofimo is too big to return to lightweight to fight Tank Davis. He would probably try this amount, but he would be in bad shape if he made weight. If Tank were to fight Teofimo, he would probably insist on a rehydration clause to make sure Teo doesn’t balloon up to middleweight.
