Trump Weirdos Spread Conspiracy Theory That Tim Walz’s Dog Is A Hoax

Supporters of former president Donald Trump love a good conspiracy theory, even if it makes no sense to anyone with two brain cells to rub them together. What are the latest ratings from MAGA’s safe internet sites? Apparently, Democratic vice president Tim Walz is lying about his dog’s identity. At least that’s the crazy story they’ve been telling themselves this morning.

“Yes, this is Tim Walz tweeting about his dog Scout. The only problem is that these are two completely different dogs,” tweeted Dustin Grage. The tweet has over 2.4 million views on X as of this writing.

Scott Adams, the cartoonist who created Dilbert and was dumped by every major newspaper in the country after speaking out against racism, shared the conspiracy theory, writing “AI or real?” Adams is a right-wing kook who believes he has “outed” himself recently with ChatGPT.

US Senator Eric Schmitt of Missouri joined

“Why did Tim Walz do this? Creepy™ and Weird™,” Schmitt said on Twitter, apparently trying to play Uno off the hook for the “weird” allegations Walz helped make known against Republicans.

But what actually happened in these pictures? Let’s break it down. The first tweet was sent in June 2022 and shows Walz with a black dog.

“Sending a special birthday shout out to our beloved pup, Scout,” Walz tweeted.

The second tweet in the viral screenshot was posted in October 2022 and shows Walz petting a brown dog, with the message, “Couldn’t think of a better way to spend a beautiful fall day than at the dog park. I know Scout enjoyed that.”

Is this some kind of weird attempt on Walz’s part to change his dogs while using the same name? No, it’s obvious. As some commenters have pointed out by looking at Walz’s Instagram page, Walz was with Scout at the dog park that day in October and that was another dog he was spraying. The governor of Minnesota used to say that the brown dog was his dog Scout.

Trump’s supporters appeared to be on fire as they tried to come up with Walz’s attack. When Kamala Harris chose Walz as her running mate in the presidential election, most Americans had never heard of him. But as he introduced himself to the general public, he proved to be incredibly popular. Walz currently has an approval rating of +5.6 points, according to national polling agency FiveThirtyEight, despite being on the national stage for less than a month. Compare that to Trump’s running mate, JD Vance, who has an approval rating of 10.3 points. It’s not really a comparison.

The right will continue to mount attacks on Walz, just as Trump called the VP candidate “Tampon Tim” on Truth Social yesterday. However, providing free tampons to all students in schools is the most famous policy Walz was celebrated for during his time as governor. And the MAGA crowd is tying themselves in knots trying to make Walz, a very normal guy with good policies, look weird. They live in this vicious online echo chamber that will make sure they don’t know how corrupt and vicious they look until Harris wins the White House.
