The 2024 Tour Championship, the grand finale of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, is here, and we’re picking the long shot who was one of the runners-up in last week’s BMW Championship. Here are our long picks, Tour Tournament odds, betting favorites and everything else you need to know.
Tour Championship Odds: Long Bet
For this week’s season finale in Atlanta, we pick Adam Scott, who comes in at +6600 to win, as our long shot to come from behind and claim the FedEx Cup.
Why does Scott have to come from behind? In the Tour Championship, players receive starting points based on their FedEx Cup ranking, with No. 1 Scottie Scheffler who gets the best help and starts at 10 under. Scott, meanwhile, is tied for 14th and will start the tournament three shots under, seven behind Scheffler.
But Scott got that 14th place last week as he came close to winning the BMW Championship, finishing T2.
If you bet $10 on Scott to capture the Tour Championship and FedEx Cup titles and he wins, you’ll win $660.
Looking for Tour Championship long bets? This week’s honorable mentions are Viktor Hovland (+6600) and Tony Finau (+6600).
Tour Championship Odds: Favorites
East Lake’s betting favorites are the same as BMW’s, but their odds are better because of their starting points. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler leads the way with +110 odds-to-win. Xander Schauffele comes in right behind Scheffler at +240, and Hideki Matsuyama starts in third with +1000 odds to win.
