Since 2017, Marvel’s has grown Venom into one of its A-list characters and makes sure to headline a comic event every now and then. Right now, Eddie Brock and his son Dylan are going head-to-head in the pages of “Venom War,” and once that wraps up, a new era for the character will begin. The twist? It won’t be all Brocks in the title role.
A few days ago, Polygon officially announced the upcoming series of Al Ewing and Carlos Gómez, All New Venom. While Eddie will be seen as MIA, Dylan will be investigating the new person the Symbiote has teamed up with. This is a mystery story about teenager Brock working as a detective of sorts, and four suspects have been narrowed down as possible candidates: New York Mayor Luke Cage, Daily Bugle staple Robbie Robertson, villain Madame Masque, and Hulk ally Rick Jones. Ewing said that each of them has a “great opportunity” to become the new host, such as Masque’s “big plans” after the event of the “War of Gangs” and Robbie who is looking to solve problems a la Superman, and hopes that the students will not soon. the finger is the suspect.
No matter who is in the goo, All New Venom at street level and after the last few runs (some of which were from Ewing and writer Ram V) it was very hard on the cosmic. “It’s like a Spider-Man-level story,” he explained.
