The ATP and WTA star visited the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square to ring the closing bell along with USTA Chairman of the Board and President Dr. Brian Hainline and USTA CEO Lew Sherr.

“It was cool. I didn’t know what to expect coming here. That was a lot of fun,” Hurkacz told ATPtour.com. “Obviously, Nasdaq is very big. Participating in such an event that is truly world-renowned is something special. Seeing your face in Times Square is a small thing. “

Hurkacz and Jabeur spoke with Nasdaq representatives, held interviews on social media and conducted a test wearing of the Closing Bell before the real thing. When they did this work at 4 pm local time, people from all over the world were watching on television and radio.

“It was great to be here today to ring the closing bell at Nasdaq,” Jabeur said. “It was fun, I’ve never done that before. There are always fun things to do. [for] first of all. It was great to start the week in New York here.”

“Just the adventures there in the heart of Manhattan, closing the bell for the day is a treat. It’s really amazing as a tennis player what things you can come across that you never thought you could do in your life.”

Hurkacz is generally interested in investments and some of his close friends who are knowledgeable help him with it. Pole explained that it is important to think about the future, even though he is fully focused on his professional tennis career.

“I hope to play for more than 10 years. When I’m healthy, that’s what I do.
