The second leg of the season-ending FedEx Cup playoffs kicks off this week with the BMW Championship at Castle Pines Golf Club in Castle Rock, Colorado. Hideki Matsuyama won the FedEx St. Jude from last week. Now, the top 50 players in the FedEx Cup standings advance to compete for the PGA Tour’s biggest prize.
Defending event and 2023 FedEx Cup champion Viktor Hovland, who finished two strokes behind Matsuyama last week, looks to take the lion’s share of the $20 million purse at Castle Pines. The winner will take home $3.6 million and 2,000 FedEx Cup points for the season finale of the Tour Championship. Hovland enters the BMW Championship in 16th place.
