Furiosa Hits Stream and Reality Next Week
It’s been a few months Furiosa: The Mad Max Saga came to earth as usual Fury Road a prequel that many people didn’t see. If you missed it or are waiting to get it from the comfort of your own home, good news: you can do either (or both) in just a few days.
Come Tuesday, August 13, you will be able to shop Furiosa in the usual variety of standard, Blu-Ray, and 4K UHD from various retailers at different prices. Then a few days later on August 16, it will air on Max alongside its 2015 predecessor and previous entries in the series. The Blu-Ray and UHD editions come with special features that dive into the making of the film with lead actors Anya Taylor-Joy (Furiosa) and Dementus (Chris Hemsworth). But if you were hoping for something extra, like a way to watch it in black and white like you did Fury Roadno such luck.
Furiosa it came out in May and despite excellent reviews, it didn’t set the world alight financially. (It’s not the only May movie to do so!) It earned a total of $172.8 million, which means both made just over half that. This is Fury Road’s location $380.4 million, and is the franchise’s second highest-grossing film…after all Fury Road. It’s amazing how that works. Any possible sequel, like another film centered on Max Rockatansky himself (also played by Tom Hardy), seems to be dead in the sand, but maybe George Miller has something cooked up when Warner Bros. able to get his ducks in a row.
Even if we don’t get another one Size movie, or at least one from Miller’s “confused” mind, This is Furiosa’s place it’s great and hopefully it will find an audience now that it’s hitting retailers and streaming in the next few days.
