Apple Music is expanding its live streams with three new channels

Apple Music recently announced that it is expanding its live streams as well. These channels are hosted by real people and are available to everyone, even those without a paid subscription to Apple Music.

First, there’s Apple Música Uno, which celebrates “the wealth of stylistic diversity in Latin music around the world.” The station will play music from many different genres, including Música Mexicana, reggaetón, tropical, Latin pop and more. Hosted by stars such as Becky G, Rauw Alejandro and Grupo Frontera, as well as radio personalities Evelyn Sicairos and Lechero. It plays every weekday, although weekends will have special programming.

Apple Music Club takes things up a notch, with an emphasis on dance and electronic music. The show will be hosted by Tim Sweeney, host of WNYU’s Beats in Space and not the guy who runs Epic Games, and DJ and singer NAINA. Apple says that each playlist will be “fine-tuned into a fully live set.” These lists will be curated by a combination of luminaries, including Honey Dijon, Jamie xx and FKA Branches. Once live, each stream will be available to reviewers via DJ Mixes on the platform.

Finally, there’s Apple Music Chill, described as “an escape, a refuge” and a “sound sanctuary.” It’s a great thing to have in the background as you go about your day. This reads to me like a version of a popular lo-fi girl playlist. Apple says “the program will be a continuous flow of the best images in all genres.” It all starts with Beck’s brand new song, a cover of “Be Here Now.” One of the hosts is Brian Eno, (among other things.)

All these channels are currently available. They join Apple Music 1, Apple Music Hits and Apple Music Country.
