Severance’s New Season 2 Trailer Puts Work Into It
It’s been a loooooooooong time since the first season of Separation blew everyone’s minds, and recently Apple pulled back the curtain on the second season. With a little over a month to go, Apple has launched a brand new trailer at CCXP, and it looks like the series hasn’t lost a step when it comes to being compelling and a little out of control.
Picking up shortly after the first season, Mark S. (or Marcus…?) and his partner Lumon Innies find themselves surprisingly un-Severed. If anything, they are celebrities in the company, but they are unlikely to enjoy their new status. Now that they know about the Severance process, they want to dig even deeper into their Outie lives, as Milchick and the rest of Lumon’s top brass are ready to prevent that from happening. And if do caught, it seems that they will meet a fate worse than death: new partners.
This is new Separation trailer is just as powerful and menacing as the first one back in October—perhaps even more so since Ms. Cobel indirectly tells Mark that his attempt to save Gemma/Ms. Casey will not be “the end of the honeymoon” for him. Other strange events coming up seem to include a lotta goats, a watermelon shaped like Irving’s head, stop motion, and child labor? We also get brief, surprise appearances from Alia Shawkat and Gwendoline Christie, two of the many newcomers to join this season.
Separation season two starts Friday, January 17, 2025 on Apple TV+, and a new episode drops every week until March 21. And if this season does well, hopefully it won’t be another three years before Apple gets a third season. in your eyes.
