Walton Goggins Loves Meeting His Fallen Fans

While It falls fans eagerly await the second season of Prime Video’s post-apocalyptic adventure, its creators and stars are still basking in the success of the first season of the video game adaptation. Walton Goggins, who plays the Ghoul (née Hollywood cowboy Cooper Howard), is no stranger to fan encounters, with a long career that includes Fixed, Fine Gemstones, The Ant Man and the Waspmany more. But It falls fans—who quickly embraced his outlaw character—were very special.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Goggins recounted the moment—while on vacation with his family—when he realized the magnitude of the impact. It fallsand Ghoul, had performed with a worldwide audience. “I was lucky enough to be stopped in the community not because of one thing but because of different programs over the years. Immediately, people started talking It falls more than anything else … There was a time when I was walking down the street with my wife and son in Istanbul, when in the middle of the block, someone from Iraq who was there on vacation walked up, someone from Syria came up, and someone from Kurdistan came up. We were walking and eating baklava after having a glass of wine at a restaurant, and then these three events happened, one after the other. We all looked at each other with such love in our hearts and had long conversations.”

The achievement had a special meaning for the veteran actor. “We have done something that reaches all countries. It breaks down those barriers and becomes something that people share. At this stage of my life, I am grateful to be a part of it.”

In the same Entertainment Weekly profile, It falls collaborator Geneva Robertson-Dworet broke down why Ghoul had such an explosive impact. “People want to see actors who are good at what they do. That, to me, is the true joy of a Ghoul.”

Less exciting, according to Goggins, is the makeup required to bring the irradiated character to life. “I’m really scared to go back to those prosthetics,” she told EW. To that end, earlier this week he posted on Instagram that he is back in the chair, or the grooming chair:

It falls season two is currently in production.
