The Pixel 8a has the same Tensor G3 chip as the rest of the Pixel 8 lineup, meaning you get access to the same AI features as its higher-end siblings. IP67 dust and water resistance is acceptable as Qi wireless charging, even if it is not the fastest with a maximum capacity of 7.5 watts. Add all that up and it’s no surprise that the Google Pixel 8a has won.

If you’re looking for the latest Pixel device – which will come with an extra year of software support – it’ll be worth holding off on for a few weeks. However, if you need a new Android phone right now, you can’t go wrong with any of the options above.
