STATESBORO, Ga. — Visiting Statesboro, Ga. it’s a good reminder of how diverse the college baseball landscape is, despite how it sometimes feels.
When you look at the field in the 2024 College World Series and see teams from only two leagues, the SEC and the ACC, and combine that with the knowledge that a select few conferences bring in and spend more money than all of Division I, it’s easy to feel pessimistic about and the chances that anyone outside of this power structure can thrive.
