With the improved position on the back of the OLED Switch, it is now much easier to play in tabletop mode. But you still work with the same Joy-Con controllers, which might be too cramped for gamers with big hands. If so you’ll want to upgrade to a higher-end gamepad. And yes, there’s Nintendo’s Pro Controller, which is still the best choice for your entire Switch if you can find one, but 8Bitdo’s Pro 2 is also great, not to mention incredibly flexible. You can use it with Android devices, a PC or Mac desktop or even a Steam Deck if you have one – and it’s $20 cheaper than the Nintendo-made option.
