Every program considers itself to have an excellent player development program. But there is a big difference between saying and doing. Cal baseball does.
Catcher Caleb Lomavita went 39th overall (Nationals) in the 2024 MLB Draft. He became Cal’s fifth first-round pick in the last eight drafts. If you cut back on time, this program has produced four first rounders in the last six drafts. That is an amazing achievement.
