Ventus Velocore+ by Fujikura Red, black shafts make waves
Jeffrey Westbrook
Fujikura’s Ventus Velocore+ Blue wouldn’t be the only child for long. Early success and acceptance on the Tour – Scottie Scheffler swears by the shaft – finally gave way to the introduction of two new profiles that are already making waves: VeloCore+ Red and Black ($350 each).
Arguably the most popular driver and fairway wood shaft on the market, the new Ventus profiles aim to benefit golfers who need a unique launch and swing shaft.
The Red is designed for golfers who want to add length with a stable spin profile, while the Black is aimed at swing speeds that want a strong low launch and swing. Although the profiles are decidedly different, both feature Fujikura’s proprietary VeloCore+ technology, which promotes maximum power transfer with a multi-material bias core that results in consistent ball blocking and mid-face contact without sacrificing precision and control.
