Black Friday officially starts tomorrow, but here’s the deal: Almost all of the best deals are live now, and we don’t expect any more price drops. Indeed. And that goes for Cyber Monday too. So for Thanksgiving, we thought we’d give you a sort of high-level summary of the best tech deals this year. This list includes the Engadget team’s favorites (and some of my own) and a bunch of other options, as well as a bunch of Apple deals. That last one is notable because we’re seeing the best prices of the year — in some cases, the best prices — on Apple’s current range of gear, including AirPods, iPads and MacBooks, which all Engadget readers own. it has been rising for the past few days and weeks, and the price drop has stabilized.

PlayStation 5 Slim game console: As a longtime Xbox guy, it pains me to say this: The PS5 is the game console you might actually want. That’s because of its impressive list of exclusive titles that you can play on rival Microsoft (or Nintendo) gaming consoles – franchises like God of War, The Last of Us, Horizon Zero Dawn, The hells again Marvel’s Spider-Manto name some of the most notable. If you haven’t picked up a PS5 yet, now is a better time than ever: The “Slim” version of the console is slightly cheaper than the original 2020 in both integration and cost, starting at only $375 for the digital version. , again $424 for the PS5 model with a built-in Blu-ray drive. (Get the latter if you want to play disc-based games or movies.) Alas, there are no discounts on the $699 PS5 Pro, but that’s a huge burden for all but the most die-hard PlayStation fans. AirPods Pro 2 earbuds: Apple’s best earbuds are now on sale for about $100 less than their price in the Apple store, although they are more fully equipped than before. And although the latest firmware update allows them to work as hearing aids, average users will be very impressed with their high-quality sound cancellation, and their seamless compatibility with Apple devices, from iPhones, iPads and Macs. JBL Clip 5 Bluetooth Speaker: Yes, you can get Bluetooth speakers for as low as $20 this Black Friday. But we’d recommend splurging on something like the JBL Clip 5. I own – and love – the previous one, but this new 2024 model adds stereo pairing (if you get a second set) and adjustable EQ via the JBL app. . It’s also dustproof and waterproof, in addition to being made partially from recycled plastics. Closing the deal? It is currently reduced by 37 percent. Apple iPad (10th generation): A few months ago, Apple was releasing its discounted 9th generation iPad for around $199. But now the current base model has dropped to $250, making it even more attractive. This 2022 model doesn’t have the computing muscle to run current or future Apple Intelligence apps, but it’s a solid entry into the company’s touchscreen computer line, with a Touch ID power button, a larger 10.9-inch screen and more. Apple Pencil (sold separately). Need more storage? I 256GB model down to $410 – double the space you’ll get for what’s admittedly pretty cool and new iPad Air (and currently on sale for $100 off). Roku Ultra: Engadget’s list of the best video streamers is full of Roku models, including this new 2024 Ultra box. And for good reason: This latest high-end Roku erases the complaints of the previous version, with a full range of HDR compatibility, a rechargeable voice remote (USB-C, finally) and support for Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6. Percent discount -20 Black Friday deals up to $80, but if you’re on a tight budget, Roku Streaming Stick 4K ($29) will get you many of the same features for half the price. And we will give an honorable speech to the Amazon Fire Stick 4K Max – currently on sale for only $33 – which is a better choice for anyone using a VPN to expand their streaming options. And whether you’re buying a new stream or already covered before, be aware of that Disney/Hulu, Peacock again Size they all have some solid Black Friday deals that you should check out.
Apple Watch 10: The Apple Watch was completely redesigned for 2024, with a thinner body and a larger face – the “small” is now 42mm while the larger is 46mm, effectively surpassing the Apple Watch Ultra. Of course, you’ll still need to recharge it almost every day, but the always-on screen and super-efficient battery make this a great upgrade for anyone still rocking a Series 7 or earlier. With introductory prices down to $329 on Black Friday, it’s a great time to shop. It is noteworthy, however, that Apple Watch SE it’s as low as $149, if you don’t need all the latest and greatest features.
MacBook Air: There are at least three “new” MacBook Airs you can buy right now, with prices starting as low as $600 for the M1 model at Walmart. My advice? Splurge not only on the latest M3 model, but pay less to get it with half a terabyte of storage. That 512GB MacBook Air M3 modelpaired with 16GB of standard RAM now gets you an extremely capable Apple laptop for just $1,049. That’s $250 less than the Apple Store price, and a cool $150 less than I paid when I bought that setup on Amazon last March. Yes, the inevitable M4 version of this product is expected next spring – but that won’t help you reach your gift deadlines, will it? See other Black Friday deals.
Meta Quest 3S: Of course, a regular Xbox, PS5 or Switch will never disappoint under the tree, but if you intend to play at the bleeding edge, it’s hard to beat the Quest VR headset. The latest 3S model brings much of the same experience as the previous Quest 3 model at a much lower starting price, and the Black Friday deal – Amazon is including a free $75 credit on the Batman: Arkham Shadow game – does this. good time to jump. Apple AirTags (4-pack): This is definitely the only Apple product priced to qualify as “stock item,” but it’s a must-have gift for anyone with an iPhone. Put one of these half-dollar trackers anywhere — a wallet, backpack, suitcase or keychain — and you’ll be able to track them using your Apple device. In $24 for one taga better deal is to get a 4-pack, currently going for a record low of $73. See more gift ideas under $25.
LG OLED TV: The TV buying axiom of a few years ago still applies: OLED TVs offer the best picture quality and black levels, which don’t block anything. While Sony and Samsung have finally brought some competition to this space, LG is still the best choice – and Black Friday season is still the best time to shop. Top of the line evo C4 model it’ll run you around $1,500 for a 65-inch screen, but pretty much the same LG B4 OLED dipped below $1,200 for the same screen size. And bargain hunters shouldn’t ignore them 2023 B3 OLEDcurrently under $1,000 for a 65-incher at Walmart. If those price tags are too rich, or if you’re not enough of a video geek to care about absolute black levels, don’t worry: We’ve got plenty of other, affordable Black Friday TV deals, too.
