MVP Criticizes ‘Forgotten’ Claims: Paul Vs. Tyson Was A Full Effort
Jake Paul’s company, MVP, has issued a statement regarding allegations that his fight with Mike Tyson was rigged on November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Some people noticed that in the last part of the fight, Jake looks like he took his foot off the accelerator to avoid hurting Tyson. Former heavyweight champion Tyson looked like a relic from the past and would crumble if Jake opened up on him with a big bang. The way Jake seemed to relax was evident to the fans.
While some fans on social media viewed the fight as scripted, it was clear to many that Mike Tyson, 58, was too old to win and had the business of being in the boxing ring for a legally sanctioned eight-round fight. Jake Paul or anyone with decent skills.
A statement from the MVP
“To suggest anything other than the full effort of these boxers is not only foolish but disrespectful to the work they put into their craft and the sport itself.”
Gullible fans were fooled into thinking that Tyson had a chance to win after watching his mitt training in the eight round build up. He looked fast, but only short clips were shown. During the open workout, Tyson was out of breath after the interview. He didn’t hold his breath and looked smartly healthy in the athletic competition, which consisted of eight two-minute rounds.
The statement by Most Valuable Promotions will not change the opinion of fans who feel that it is inappropriate for Jake Paul’s side to choose an old man like Mike Tyson, who is pushing 60 years, in order to gain fame and make money. It looked like someone was picking at the bottom of a barrel to make money.
Jake has been fighting old battles since he started his career in 2020, so this was familiar to him.
A lot of people who didn’t pay attention to Jake’s fights were confused by the idea of him bringing Tyson out of his 19-year retirement to fight him instead of focusing on one of the contenders in the cruiserweight or heavyweight division. A lot of fighters would have readily agreed to fight Jake if he had asked.
