Apple Black Friday is selling the M3 MacBook Air with 16GB of RAM at the lowest price we’ve seen.
If you want to treat yourself or a loved one to a new laptop without breaking the bank, there are plenty of Black Friday deals to consider. Even better, there’s a discount on what we think is the best laptop for most people and the best laptop for college students. Apple’s M3 MacBook Air with 16GB of RAM has dropped to its lowest price yet. The laptop is available for $899, which is $200 off the list price.
That’s the base amount of storage, but other configurations with more storage space are also sold. One with 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD is available for $989, though we’d recommend at least 16GB of memory. It is not possible to upgrade the RAM on the Apple Silicon MacBook, but you can always add external storage if needed.
Apple just released its first M4-powered Macs, but it hasn’t included the latest chip in the MacBook Air. The combination of power and portability of the 13 inch MBA makes it a strong choice and we gave it 90 points in our review. It delivers fast performance and has a killer display. The design is sleek and sturdy and sounds great thanks to the four-speaker array. We like the trackpad and keyboard, while the upgrade to Wi-Fi 6E connectivity is a definite plus.

Our biggest issue is that the USB-C ports are on the same side of the unit as the charger – having one USB-C on the right side would be helpful. But that’s a minor complaint about an otherwise terrible laptop.
If you’re willing to go with an older (but slightly less powerful) processor, the M2 MacBook Air with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is down to $749, which is $250 off its regular price.
