Ten people died in a house fire in Spain
At least 10 people were killed and others injured when a fire broke out in a retirement home near Zaragoza in northeastern Spain, emergency services said.
A fire broke out in the town of Villafranca de Ebro on Friday morning and local officials said that more than 80 people were living in the house at the time.
The center opened 16 years ago as a nursing home, according to local reports, but has since focused on caring for residents with mental health issues.
Emergency services were alerted at around 05:00 (04:00 GMT) on Friday and firefighters managed to put out the fire.
Ten people died and two others were taken to hospital, including one person whose condition was described as critical, the local mayor told Spanish radio.
