Sorry, Charlie Brown: there’s a new Thanksgiving special in town, and it’s spewing acidic blood and strange black goo into space. Hulu (and Hulu on Disney +) recently revealed Fede Alvarez’s Alien: Romulus will hit the airwaves on November 21, a week before Turkey Day. That means your annual family argument about what to watch besides football will be over before it even starts, because what better group viewing option than a shocking entry in a long-running sci-fi horror series?
When it was released in August, Alien: Romulus it got good reviews and made money handily over the tent at the box office; its success made the founder of the franchise (again Romulus producer) Ridley Scott is set to begin work on the next Alien the movie. Also, that FX prequel series, Alien: Earthwill hopefully air in 2025, and recent reports suggest a Predator rematch could one day happen. Everything is coming Alien!

Official synopsis of Alien: Romulus reads as follows: “When evacuating a defunct space station, a group of young colonists come face-to-face with the relentless and deadly creatures of the universe.”
It stars Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu, and is directed by horror master Fede Alvarez from a screenplay by Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues.
Alien: Romulus it is set between the first and second Alien movies, some fans say it’s the best since 1986 Aliens. 20th Century Studios relies on early-Alien nostalgia for the physical release of the film, which is coming next month.
