You won’t have to worry about repurchasing your Nintendo favorites when the Switch’s successor finally arrives. In its earnings report, Nintendo said its next console will be backwards compatible and able to run games made for the Switch. In addition, Switch Online will also be available on Switch 2.
The earnings report takes a philosophical tone in talking about why. Its online service, Nintendo Account, consolidates user history into a single account and enables the company, it said, to “maintain a continuous relationship” with them across console generations.
We’re all waiting: Nintendo has lowered its sales forecast for the fiscal year due to a sharp decline in console sales compared to last year.

Japanese researchers recently sent the first wooden satellite into space, in an attempt to find out if wood could be a suitable material for the future of all kinds of space activities. “With wood, something we cannot produce ourselves, we will be able to build houses, live and work in space forever,” said Takao Doi, an astronaut affiliated with Kyoto University.

While we feel that the Kindle Colorsoft is Amazon’s first serious stab at color reading, there is a problem. After several buyers reported that the yellow band was discoloring under the display, the same problem occurred on our review unit. Now, the company says it’s offering refunds and replacements for anyone experiencing the same issue. For now, Amazon has delayed shipments of the ereader while it puts together a replacement. We have also removed the points from our review until they are resolved.

Meta had plans to build a nuclear-powered AI data center in the US – it already knew where it wanted to build the center. According to the Financial TimesHowever, the company had to cancel its plans because a rare species of bee was found in the area reserved for the project. The report did not say that Meta is looking for a new site – one that does not contain exotic bees.
