The LIV Golf 2025 season doesn’t get underway until February 6 in Saudi Arabia, but if a recent report is correct, we could see LIV’s biggest star, Bryson DeChambeau, compete in a professional event before then.

According to a report from the Hindustan TimesA new International Series tournament in New Delhi, India, will be announced soon. The International Series is a series of 10 tournaments sponsored jointly by the Asian Tour and LIV Golf.

Starting in 2022, the series has provided an opportunity for LIV players to earn ranking points in tournaments officially recognized by the Official World Golf Ranking. It also provides a path to LIV, where the winner of the International Series Order of Merit earns a place in the inaugural league.

But the most interesting part the Hindustan TimesThe report says DeChambeau is in talks to play in the new tournament, which is expected to take place January 30-February 2 at the DLF Golf & Country Club’s Gurugram course.

If he does, Dechambeau will make history in the program, becoming the first major men’s champion to play a pro tournament in India.

The Hindustan Times spoke to DeChambeau about his inclusion in the new tournament, and he expressed his excitement and interest in supporting fellow LIV Crushers Anirban Lahiri, who is of Indian origin.

“I know that [Lahiri] you’ll be involved, and we’ve had a few conversations about it. It will be a very important week for him. I will support him fully, and if everything works out, I am very excited about the opportunity to play in India,” said DeChambeau. “I have never been there, but it is a country that impressed me. I have always loved being a world player and I really enjoy playing in as many countries as possible.”

In the event of a tournament and if DeChambeau and Lahiri do indeed play, they will likely be joined by fellow Crushers Paul Casey and Charles Howell III, who have the skills of many LIV players entering the field.

The LIV Golf 2025 season starts next week with LIV Golf Riyadh.
