An American singer has apologized after swearing on television during the US national anthem.
Loomis drew ridicule on social media when he performed The Star-Spangled Banner at an independent candidate rally Wednesday that was broadcast live on C-SPAN.
On Instagram, he called the incident “a tragedy” and told the Free and Equal Elections team, which organized the debate: “I’m very sorry, I didn’t mean to interfere with the national anthem.”
