Richardson Hitchins Tells Catterall: “You Won’t See Liam” Paro
Richardson Hitchins has responded angrily to Jack Catterall sending a message on social media to IBF light welterweight champion Liam Paro last night, telling him that, “See you soon.” Hitchins (18-0, 7 KOs) wrote to Catterll (30-1, 13 KOs), saying he might bet his wallet that he won’t face Paro next for the IBF belt.
Hitchins challenges Paro for his IBF title on December 7 at the Roberto Clemente Coliseo in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Brooklyn, New York native Hitchins is confident of defeating Aussie Paro to claim his IBF title. So, instead of Catterll facing Paro, he will be the one to face for the belt.
It’s understandable why Hitchins is upset with Catterall thinking Paro will win that fight because both fighters are in a 50-50 type of fight, and it’s almost impossible to pick a winner.
Catterll has put himself in a position to fight the winner of the Paro vs. Hitchins by defeating former WBA and WBC light welterweight champion Regis Prograis by a 12-round unanimous decision on Saturday night at an event sponsored by Matchroom Boxing at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, England.
Catterll fought defensively for most of the fight except for a big ninth round where he dropped the 35-year-old Prograis twice. Prograis didn’t do much for the rest of the fight after the ninth and later injured his ankle in the 11th round when he swung and missed a big left hand.
Paro looked impressive taking the IBF title from champion Subriel Matias earlier this year on June 15, winning a 12-round unanimous decision at the Coliseo Juan Aubin Cruz Abreu, Manatí, Puerto Rico.
Hitchins didn’t look good in his last fight, winning a 12-round unanimous decision over Gustavo Lemos on April 6 in Las Vegas.
I’LL BET YOU ALL MY TIME YOU WON’T SEE LIAM PAY ATTENTION AND TAKE NOTES BUM
