Daniil Medvedev withdraws from the upcoming ATP 500 in Vienna.

Daniil Medvedev has withdrawn from the upcoming Erste Bank Open.

World No. 5, who won the tournament in 2022 and reached the finals last year, spoke about shoulder concerns ahead of the 2024 edition, which runs from 21-27 October.

Alexander Zverev, who has already qualified for the Nitto ATP Finals, will lead the field in the Austrian capital. Alex de Minaur, Grigor Dimitrov, and Tommy Paul will compete at the ATP 500, all fighting for a late push to qualify for Turin.

Medvedev will be replaced by #NextGenATP Alex Michelsen in the main tournament.
