From a business perspective, several positive steps are being taken here. Despite the obvious fact that it will see a bajillion copies, Swift is using the advice that content creators have been giving Entrepreneur.com for years: You’re basically repurposing content that already exists.
“Content repurposing means taking existing content and converting it into different formats to reach a wider audience,” communications expert Kelly Fletcher wrote for Entrepreneur.com.. He discussed the many ways we mere mortals can reuse and reshape content to continue serving us. Some of those tips include:
-
Turn articles into social media posts: Take key points or quotes from an article or blog post and turn them into a post you can share on social media.
-
Convert written content into videos: Use the edited version of your blog post as text. Use simple animations to bring them to life.
-
Convert webinars or lectures into written content and vice versa: If you’ve recorded a webinar or given a talk, turn the talk into written content. Or you can repurpose your writing into a website or workshop.
