Good news, people of the world: your favorite Shlorpians will be extending their tour for a while. Solar Oppositions‘ The San Diego Comic-Con panel recently revealed that the show will be returning for a sixth season! But first, season five is just around the corner, with the first trailer arriving today ahead of its premiere next month.
Official synopsis: “In season five, now that fellow immigrants Terry and Korvo are married, the entire Solar Opposites team focuses on family values.” Of course, if you know the show, “family values” will 100 percent be something they misunderstand and misinterpret, hilariously. (No matter the context, “We can solve this with sci-fi!” always fits).
Also: it looks like we’re going to be getting a twist on the wall-high drama, Solar Oppositions‘ a soap opera-in-a-comedy about small people trapped inside the walls of an alien home.
Hulu also announced that Solar Oppositions will be airing a special Halloween episode as part of season five, in the show’s continuing tradition of marking the holidays with alien hijinks. This will actually be it the second time Halloween special; there was also a Christmas special and, earlier this year, a Valentine’s Day special.
Solar Oppositions Dan Stevens as Korvo, Thomas Middleditch as Terry, Mary Mack as Jessie, and Sean Giambrone as Yumyulack. It is executive produced by Mike McMahan and Josh Bycel. Check out season five on Hulu August 12.
