Since it’s July, the Amazon sale is a great opportunity for Prime Members (and the general public) to save on products from every department — but this list is all about the best first-day kitchen deals. We’ve got quite a few foodies on the Engadget staff, and most of us have tried our fair share of cooking gadgets – from the low-tech to the very clever.

Of all the kitchen gadgets in my home, my favorite is the Instant Pot air fryer. Food I would like if the microwave came out clean and very tasty in no time. In the second cooker the MVP has to be the old Instant Pot, which I rely on to keep me going with beans and curry. I got both after reading our buyer’s guides (for air fryers and kitchen technology, respectively) – but foolishly paid full price. Reader, don’t make my mistake.

Prime Day is a great opportunity to upgrade an aging model – or find yourself a home chef you know who could use some extra muscle. A juicer can make it easier (or at least tastier) to get your vitamins. And the one we recommend is painless to clean.

Here you’ll find all the hard-to-find gadgets that make cooking at home easier and more enjoyable. These are the smallest and most special devices we have tested that have proven their genius in our kitchens, or in the pizza oven, in the background.

• Ooni Karu 16 outdoor pizza oven for $519 ($280 off): The Ooni makes our most favorite outdoor pizza oven of all the ovens we tested. With its large capacity and built-in thermometer, it can handle full-sized pizzas – and even cast iron cookware – using wood, charcoal or propane fuel.

• Ninja Creami ice cream maker for $160 ($40 off): This is close to an all-time low for a device that scored a high of 90 in our review. In short, it “makes your frozen dreams come true.”

• : Trager subsidiary Meater has updated its latest meat thermometer with additional sensors, increased heat resistance and overall durability. We loved what we saw.

• Cosori Electric Gooseneck Kettle for $56 ($14 off): This is similar to July’s Prime Day price and a great kettle price that has earned a spot on one of our little editors’ counters. It has different built-in heat settings for different types of drinks and a gooseneck pour.

• Chemex Pour-Over Glass Coffeemaker for $38 ($10 off): We recommend this coffee companion in our small gadget guide because it takes up less space than a drip machine while producing the best coffee.

• : Coffee snobs (a term we use lovingly) will appreciate Tally’s accuracy, as we make clear in our guide to . $148 is the lowest price we’ve seen this year, just be aware that you’ll have to be a prime member to get the deal.

• SodaStream Art Bundle for $89 ($60 off): If you want to make soda at home, you might be interested in this Prime member-only deal that’s cheaper than ever. The set includes a sparkling water dispenser, two 60-liter CO2 cylinders, two bottles for the dishwasher and two bottles of flavor drops.
