Caitlin Clark will mix it up in the LPGA pro-am at The Annika
BELLEAIR, Fla. — Caitlin Clark wasn’t joking when she included golf in her offseason plans.
Clark travels to The Annika in November, a semifinal tournament on the LPGA Tour hosted by Annika Sorenstam, to play in the pro-am and be a panelist at the Women’s Leadership Conference at Pelican Golf Club.
Clark, the WNBA’s rookie of the year, said last month at the end of Indiana Fever that she planned to play golf until it got cold in Indiana and, she added with a smile, “Become a professional golfer.”
The Women’s Leadership Summit is November 12, and the pro-am is the next day.
“I love golf so the opportunity to play in the pro-am in a tournament with a legend like Annika Sorenstam’s name on it is very exciting,” said Clark. “I’m looking forward to seeing all the LPGA players in the driving range, being part of the Women’s Leadership Conference, and, of course, putting it together with Annika.”
Clark also appealed to Gainbridge, the presenting sponsor of the LPGA event.
