Samsung’s FAST TV Plus service goes all-in on K-dramas
Samsung TV Plus, the company’s FAST live TV pre-installed on its TVs, is getting more K dramas. More than 4,000 hours of K-Dramas, K-Thrillers, K-Crime and K-Romance from Samsung’s home country of South Korea were added to the ad-supported streaming app on Thursday.
The content comes from partnerships with “highly respected Korean production companies,” including CJ ENM, NEW ID and distribution company KT Alpha. New series additions include Word 4, The Black Hole again Doom at Your Service (a great article if ever there was one). A psychological thriller Beyond Evil it will come soon.
New unscripted shows are also part of the package. This includes a range of food entertainment such as Genius Paik again Three Meals a Dayand tourism exhibitions House on Wheels again Youn’s kitchen.
Samsung claims they now have the best library of NEW ID and KT Alpha K-Movies in the US. Award winning Burning (played by Steven Yeun), Taxi driver (not the De Niro one but the Kang-ho song one) and The execution (with an asterisk Squid game Lee Jung-jae) are among those on Samsung TV Plus now.
