Ryan Garcia To Confront Haney Over His Father’s “Kill” Comments.

By Robbie Bannatyne – 09/28/2024 – Comment
Ryan Garcia posted a clip on social media of Devin Haney’s father and manager, Bill Haney, saying Devin was “Gonna kill him” before their April 20 fight. Garcia says Bill’s “kill” comment leaves him with no choice but to sue.
It’s not clear if Bill meant it when he said Devin was coming to “kill” Ryan, but he had a deadpan look on his face.
“Devin is not going to punch you, Ryan Garcia. He’s coming to kill you,” said Bill Haney in a video clip that Ryan Garcia posted today on X, leading him to say that he has no choice but to sue him for this.
There wasn’t even a hint of a smile on Bill’s face, and he didn’t seem like he was playing at a theater to create fake expressions. Father Haney he looked like a wolf, like Ryan made Devin’s mistake, and he’s going to pay a huge price. If Bill was just kidding, he didn’t show it.
This will be Ryan’s (24-1, 20 KOs) objection, which Haney and Bill sued for the following reasons:
- Battery: Ryan tested positive for the PED, Ostarine, meaning the fight was not held under fair conditions. Garcia was given additional help with the use of a performance-enhancing drug, which was not known in advance by Devin and Bill Haney.
- Fraud: Devin thought Ryan would be drug free for this fight, and apparently he wasn’t after his test.
- Unjust enrichment: Haney believes that Garcia made unfair money from the fight because he was not clean from drugs.
I have no choice but to sue him

I asked the bill to stop fighting
You allow the battery to continue
You wanted this beating

Hopefully, Haney and Ryan can resolve their disputes without going to court because it would be a waste of a rematch if both end up bitter about their legal problems.
