LG To Launch Integrated Car Controller Platform At CES 2025

LG Electronics, in partnership with Qualcomm Technologies, will present its new Cross Domain Controller (xDC) platform at CES 2025. This innovative platform includes In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS ) into a single chip, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Ride Flex System-on-Chip (SoC). The xDC platform aims to improve vehicle performance and redefine the driving experience by providing a centralized solution for the complex functions of modern vehicles.

The Snapdragon Ride Flex SoC is designed to simplify vehicle operations by integrating autonomous driving, computer vision, ADAS capabilities, and IVI into a single chipset. This integration allows simultaneous processing of data from multiple systems, improving efficiency and reducing component costs. The platform also introduces “ADAS confidence view,” a feature that displays important driver assistance information, such as lane departure warnings and proximity warnings, in conjunction with real-time traffic data.

The xDC platform offers a comprehensive user experience, providing drivers and front-seat passengers with easy access to navigation, safety system alerts, and lifestyle information such as local promotions. System flexibility and multi-functionality are made possible by the Snapdragon Ride Flex SoC, certified with Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL)-D, which ensures the reliability of critical vehicle functions.

LG and Qualcomm plan to showcase the xDC platform at CES 2025, demonstrating its potential in the era of software-defined cars. Through continuous cooperation, the companies aim to lead in the fields of IVI and ADAS, offering customized solutions that meet the needs of car manufacturers and setting new standards for future mobility.
