Welcome to 2025. Wave goodbye to the past and technology’s biggest losers. Picking our favorite villains in 2024 was a challenge when it wasn’t a good time for technology. With the sad dance that is social media, the will-they-or-won’t-they dance with TikTok shutting down in the US and endless curated and deep content, it’s loud. Is the internet slop? Is it fatigue? Is AI talking to AIs about AIs? Amidst all that, there’s the obsolescence of previous connectors, Intel’s massive struggles to turn its fortunes around, and, uh, those AI assistants.
