Dandy Krazy, one of Zambia’s most popular singers, has died from injuries sustained in a road accident on New Year’s Eve.
The 47-year-old suspect – whose real name is Wesley Chibambo – was traveling in Zambia’s Kapiri Mposhi district when his car collided with a truck and a second car.
Three people died at the scene. Dandy Krazy passed away in the early hours of Thursday despite being rushed to the University Teaching Hospital in the capital Lusaka for emergency surgery.
President Hakainde Hichilema is one of those who honored the singer, calling him an “extraordinary artist”.
“His music and his love touched people’s lives far and wide, transcending all boundaries and bringing people together,” Hichilema wrote in his Facebook post.
