Mobile Suit Gundam: GQuuuuuuuX

After the end of the The Witch From Mercury in 2023, Gundam has set the bar high for any show to follow—and it’s not only surprising to see another one coming so soon, but one that has the power to set that high bar soaring through space to the stars themselves. GQuuuuuuuXA heaping pile of creative talents—from Khara’s Hideaki Anno, Yoji Enokido, Kazuya Tsurumaki, and Ikuto Yamashita on writing, directing, and mechanical design, respectively? The PokémonTake character design? It’s a story that, if leaks are to be believed, plays on a fundamental conflict Gundam itself? We’re looking at something that could be one of the franchise’s best works, not to mention the best series of 2025. – James Whitbrook

M3GAN 2.0

If For Superman a great option, imagine another contender for the summer hero: a child-sized AI robot with a killer dance routine, killer fashion sense, killer instinct, and (presumably) a serial killer’s drive for revenge. M3GAN 2.0 is also directed by Gerald Johnstone and written by Akeela Cooper, and brings back Gemma (Allison Williams) and Cady (Violet McGraw), and there will be new characters. We have every reason to believe that our friend’s return will be as sweet, fun, and loud as ever—and we’re counting down the days until June 27, 2025. – Cheryl Eddy

Bad: Good

First of all They are not bad it took away the film audience, proving the works of film music if you just come out and say it’s a musical. The sequel, which will expand on the second act of the show, is rumored to include new original music and the events of L. Frank Baum. The Wizard of Oz. We love to see how Dorothy’s journey will be intertwined with Elphaba and Glinda. Also, we’ve got room for more memes. – Sabina Cemetery

After two movies, I think we can safely stop joking about it A photo. The first movie was good, the second was a movie a lot good, and now we wait for the third part, which is sure to be one of the biggest hits of the year. And, in addition to continuing to explore the world of Pandora, it’s always exciting to see a new James Cameron movie. Especially with each of these sequels, it continues to push the technical bar by telling a compelling, character-driven story. – Germain Lussier

Like a Dragon: The Pirate Yakuza Comes to Hawaii

I Love a Dragon The franchise went from being a zany, open-world series of games to a household name thanks to an important part in its original title, Yakuza 0, and its later entries have an English voice track. While It came purists turn their noses up at the idea, accessibility is important, and the language barrier is no exception. That’s why developer Ryu Ga Gotoku is coming off a year with three releases It came games, only to announce a fourth at the end of 2025 led by a fan-favorite character (and It came 0 umelight stealer) Goro Majima—quite a Kendrick Lamar-esque sequence of events. In addition, the studio, which is famous for reusing tons of its highly detailed assets to make games on a regular basis (we love a developer with a conscience), is righting Ubisoft’s long-delayed live-action brutality game Skull and Bones by making the pirate game it promised Pirate Yakuza is coming to Hawaii. For RGG, we hope. Isaiah Colbert

Predator: Badlands

A deer it was fun back in 2022, and even before it wrapped, it was clear that A hunter the franchise was aiming for a comeback. Details are open Predator: Badlands it was scarce, save because it will do the stranger is a star while Elle Fanning pulls double duty as the twins. We will eventually find out what The Badlands is under the helmet, and I can’t wait to see what it brings to theaters on November 7, 2025. And it’s not even the only one A hunter flick hit next year! – Justin Carter

Andor Season 2

star Wars has had a tough time with it lately, as the series struggles to chart a clear path forward with a vision of what it really wants. star Wars you are. But one of the rare highlights of this disruption is that clarity of purpose has returned, after waiting for a delay: Cassian will finally find us all Andor’s the second, final season on April 22. Anticipation continues after an amazing first season, and every little report we’ve been teased so far makes us hope for more. Andor high could hold us back long enough to reach Lucasfilm in charge of getting the movie into theaters again. – James Whitbrook

Synduality: An Echo of Ada

Like a person who is used to crying Titanfall As a video game franchise, any entry in a new sci-fi mecha game has the potential to become a fan favorite while anime-AF is like catnip to gamers around the world, and Bandai Namco’s Sydnduality: Echo of Ada they can fill those shoes. Its characters look great, its mechs even more so, and its battle scenes scratch the mind of every mecha fan to pilot his giant robot through an array of incoming missiles with the help of their dense UI prompts. Let’s hope it lives up to the hype. – Isaiah Colbert

Metroid Prime 4: Out

As we have seen with Mario, Zelda, and more, Nintendo treats its OG titles with extra care. That’s why it will take almost two decades to make the mainline Metroid game, which was announced almost ten years ago. And yes, Metroid Dread it was good. But Prime 4 you promise to be very big and ambitious. A true return to the world of Samus Aran in a way that players have been waiting for, in some cases, their entire lives. – Germain Lussier

Xenoblade Chronicles X: The Definitive Edition

I Xenoblade series has become my favorite collection of JRPGs, but its best entries have been locked to the Wii U for the better part of a decade. That changes with the release of Xenoblade Chronicles X: The Definitive Edition on the Switch, which means that, finally, many people can find this objection interesting Xenoblade that picks up where the sci-fantasy series usually swings, leaning heavily on the genre’s predecessor to deliver one of Nintendo’s best open-world RPGs. The ultimate mech game away from the giant robots that cover the first part of the game, X builds its simple narrative beats with an amazing world to discover, rewarding players willing to engage in exploration with an incredibly rich setting. I can’t wait to have all the entries from one of my favorite series finally playable in one place. – James Whitbrook

Witch Hat Atelier

Last year there was a big boom in fantasy anime with shows like Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End again It’s fun in the Dungeon. Completing the trifecta of what has been called the fantasy big three is the upcoming anime adaptation of Bug Film Witch Hat Atelier. Although Frieren again It’s fun in the Dungeon prosper successively through their moral work and world-building, Witch Hat Atelier it excels at both, through the magic of creativity. In addition, this series is full of themes such as the 2024 spotlight Boot campshowing the trials and tribulations of learning a new skill. Rather than sing to anything Harry Potter slop Warner Bros makes the ad nauseating, reward yourself for doing it Witch Hat Atelier your anime to watch in 2025. – Isaiah Colbert

After confronting Faith and Marvel, Ryan Coogler is about to show us his original horror. This is the hope Michael B. Jordan playing the twins against the supernatural in their hometown is too good to pass up, and it was even more fun when the first trailer beat. Add to Ludwig’s unbelievably incredible score Göransson, and hell yeah, sign us up They are sinners. – Justin Carter
