Elon Musk Spent His Crazy Christmas Holiday On The Internet And In A German Newspaper
The days between Christmas and New Year are a perfect, limited time. You can get together with family, make your mind a sunny place with video games and TV, and eat all the leftovers from the holidays. Elon Musk, the richest man who ever lived and the father of at least 12 children, is spending this time going crazy on the internet about visas and publishing an op-ed in a German newspaper.
I mean where to start.
In the days leading up to Christmas, a mini-battle broke out between the MAGA faithful and the tech billionaires who helped Trump win the election. The problem was H1-B visas. You see, immigrant Elon Musk thinks Americans are lazy and entitled. To help it flourish, they want to bring in highly skilled technical workers on H1-B Visas.
“A culture that honors Cory from ‘Boy Meets World,’ or Zach & Slater over Screech in ‘Saved by the Bell,’ or ‘Stefan’ by Steve Urkel in ‘Family Matters,’ will not produce engineers the best,” DOGE co. -chairman Ramaswamy tweeted on December 26, the day most of us are so stuffed with holiday meat that we can’t move.
The reason top tech companies tend to hire immigrants and first-generation engineers over “native” Americans is not because of America’s lack of IQ (a lazy and inaccurate definition). The main part of it comes in the word: culture. Tough questions call for tough answers and if…

Ramaswamy and Musk then spent several days fighting with their followers on X, the All App. Musk was hurling bans and criticisms with fervor in the days after Christmas, which I think came into his own with Path of Exile 2. It’s sad. A post on the day after Christmas summarizes what happened. The post said Americans are stupid. Musk agreed to it, then withdrew his agreement. He said that “hateful, unrepentant racists” should be removed from the Republic Party.
Good luck with that.
While Musk was defending himself from the trolls he had put on the website he bought for $44 billion, the world also learned about Adrian Dittmann, a man many thought might. be Musk.
Dittmann is a bluecheck X account that likes to protect Musk. Dittmann’s account has been around since 2021, and has spent a lot of time fighting for the billionaire. The couple first appeared together on Twitter back in 2023. They repeat working during the H1-B visa dustup.
The thing is, Dittmann sounds and acts like Elon Musk. The account seems to exist solely to boost Musk’s ego and protect his various positions. When both are in the same physical space, it is impossible to tell them apart. This has led to allegations that Dittmann is Musk’s alt-account, something even his estranged billionaire daughter believes.
Dittmann’s truth is impossible to know. This is either Musk using an alt account and promoting himself or a weirdo who likes Musk so much that he makes a video of himself, mimics his behavior on Musk, and spends the holiday protecting him online. Either way it’s very scary to think about these strange and wandering days between Christmas and New Year.
Did you know that Germany has a parliamentary election coming up? Musk knows. The German government is in crisis and the ruling coalition has collapsed. At the end of February, the Germans will decide the future of the country. Musk would like that future to be a hard right turn.
The billionaire became embroiled in one final controversy before the new year when he published an op-ed in Welt am Sonntag newspaper endorsing the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party. Musk said Germany was on the brink of “economic and cultural collapse” and that the AfD was the country’s “last glimmer of hope”.
The AfD is a party that gets into Nazi-related controversy every few weeks. It could also, perhaps, be good for Musk’s business interests abroad. That’s why he wrote an op-ed. Musk’s endorsement of the paper was so embarrassing that the editor of Welt am Sonntag resigned in protest.
It’s impossible to know whether any of this will matter in February when Germany votes, but it points to Musk trying to flex his political muscle outside the United States. He first endorsed the AfD on Christmas Eve. I wonder what he will do when he learns about the hateful, unrepentant racists in the AfD.
The richest man in the world entered 2025 with the same power he had earned in 2024. While we were all enjoying time with our families, we finished one draft before seeing the meeting. Nosferatu matinee, or meet up with old friends, Musk was fighting people online. The holidays are hard for some of us. Musk’s solution seems to be to post it.
