The trailer for Your Friendly Spider-Man Finally Arrives
Spider-Man has been confined to the movies for years now, and it’s probably been a long time since he made his cartoon debut. A new series Your Friendly Place Spider Man (before Spider-Man: New Year) is bringing the webhead back to the TV world, but Marvel has been pretty good at showing it off since Comic-Con two years ago. Luckily, we now have our first, full look at the upcoming series.
If you’ve watched the MCU Spider-Man movies and felt like they needed to have less adventures, it seems Friendly Neighbor it’s for you. Set in an alternate reality, this iteration of Peter Parker (Hudson Thames) just started out as Spider-Man. He also finds a new set of amazing friends in Harry Osborn, Nico Minoru (Grace Song), and Daredevil (Charlie Cox). And the biggest change of all? Instead of Tony Stark, his surrogate father is Norman Osborn (Colman Domingo), who decides to help Peter reach his full heroic potential by giving him new suits to wear.
Besides, it looks like we’re in the wrong Spider Man cartoon mode: Peter balances being a high school student with a street hero who fights bad guys and tries to take care of the place. We’ll see what this new game has to offer Your Friendly Neighbor Spider-Man to air on Disney+ on January 29, 2025.
