Netflix Just Canceled RRR To Make A Documentary

RRR your favorite movie maker. Of all the releases in recent years, there is one film that even creators like Steven Spielberg and James Cameron watched and thought “How did they do that?” Well, now, finally, we can find out.

Netflix has just released a new documentary called RRR: Back and Outside documenting the making of, and reception of, an action-packed Indian epic. You can watch it right now at this link, but if you don’t have 97 minutes at the moment, watch the trailer and read on.

If you’ve been living under a rock for the past few years, RRR is a three-hour, Telugu-language drama featuring international stars NTR Jr. and Ram Charan. It is directed by one of the world’s most successful directors, SS Rajamouli, and follows the story of two historical figures who become best friends while being mortal enemies. It’s a wonderful, highly entertaining film that was a hit in India and crossed over to America, where it eventually won an Oscar for Best Original Song.

Truly, it’s a movie you should watch immediately—if you haven’t seen it yet. After that, as you sit in silence trying to think of how Rajamouli pulled it all off, feel grateful. You can only look to this film for answers while we all have to imagine the lengths the film went to in order to survive the show. And, as you can see in the trailer, the documentary goes beyond the production but to the reception of the film as well.

Rumors have been swirling about the possibility RRRor at least some kind of encounter, and while nothing is set, having a documentary like this feels like a good move. And, RRR is one of the best films in recent memory and is now on Netflix at this link.
