Spotify should be working normally again now after a few hours of service issues. The Spotify Status account posted on X on Sunday afternoon that, “Everything looks so much better now!” Earlier in the day, it confirmed that it was experiencing issues following user reports that the app and web player were working. Spotify users on social media have reported a variety of issues, from songs that stop playing frequently to being locked out of the streaming platform.
Problems peaked slightly before 11AM ET, per Downdetector, and persisted for two hours or more. At 12:14PM ET, Spotify Status posted, “We are currently aware of some issues and are investigating them!” Meanwhile, Downdetector’s comments section has turned into a completely static group chat. I was still having issues with the web player around 1:15PM, but everything seems to be resolved now.
