It’s always a big deal for a show to (intentionally) reach its final season, and it is here Stranger Things. The popular sci-fi horror series has been around for a long time, and Netflix has made sure to let fans know that the end is coming.
Of course, we there is is drawing to a close, as Netflix announced that the fifth season has wrapped production with photos of the cast and crew on set. Additionally, producer Ross Duffer gave his own statement about the show’s nearly eight-year lifespan. As he noted, the core Stranger Things The characters were children when they first joined, and have grown up a lot over the course of the series.
“[Stranger Things] it was an important part of their childhood,” said Duffer. “They’ve grown up before our eyes, they’ve become more than actors—they’ve become family.”
About the employees, he said they also have a “special place in our hearts.” [Much of] our employees have been with us since the beginning. Their dedication and love has been the backbone of this journey. Everyone involved was determined to bring this story to a satisfactory conclusion. They poured their hearts into it, and we couldn’t be prouder of what they’ve accomplished.”
The way to Stranger Things’ Last season was somewhat eventful: last year, production was halted during the writers’ strike as Ross and Matt Duffer stood down along with other writers. Things were again affected by the actors’ strike a few weeks later, and when those were resolved, production came to a head in 2024. Between then and now, Netflix posted set photos and gave tiiiiiiiny glimpses of what’s to come. Now that production has wrapped, it’s just a matter of waiting for Netflix to reveal a release date for the season—or daysit is possible.
