Tesla is recalling nearly 700,000 vehicles for a tire pressure monitoring issue
One day, another Tesla remembers. At this time, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is warning about 700,000 Tesla vehicles about a problem with the tire pressure monitoring system warning light as reported .
The recall affects Cybertruck, 2017-2025 Model 3 and 2020-2025 Model Y vehicles. NHTSA says the tire pressure monitoring system warning light may not stay on between drives.
Tesla says it will send an over-the-road (OTR) update to vehicles affected by the warning light problem. Owner notice letters are expected to be sent in Feb. 15, 2025.
The past year has seen more than a few Tesla recalls and OTRs. NHTSA filed last year for the Cybertruck to fix problems involving the , and loose trunk beds. Tesla released an over-the-air update in June for select 2021-2024 Model 3, S and X vehicles and 2020-2024 Model Y vehicles to fix hoods that can loosen while driving if improperly closed.
