Jared Leto is the Big Bad of the He-Man movie
I Masters of the Universe The movie got someone to beat Nicholas Galitzine: The Hollywood Reporter has word that Jared Leto has signed up to play the hero. He-Man Baddie Skeletor in Travis Knight’s long-running take on the beloved cartoon/toy commercial series.
Leto joins the cast of the film’s brutal cast to fill in not just Skeletor himself, but a real host of the dark wizard’s friends, too. Alongside the previously announced Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Skeletor’s second-in-command, Sam C. Wilson will play Trap Jaw, a cyborg warrior with a fearsome bite; Hafthor Bjornsson will play Goat Man, who is less than, well, Beast Man; and Kojo Attach will play Tri-Klops, a multi-eyed spy who uses his different visions to watch the Skeletor World Champions.
It’s a big push for the evil side of the Knight to take over the world of Eternia, which has already happened RiverdaleCamilla Mendes and Idris Elba as Prince Adam’s two best friends, Teela and Man-at-Arms, respectively. But now we’re probably more interested in what absurd approach Leto will bring to playing the guy with the skull than anything else. Masters of the Universe may drop it before its June 5, 2026 release date.
